Work on a brand new library was completed this fall. The library is a first for the commune of Borgne and will house a modest collection that includes resources for teachers as well as reading materials in French, Haitian Creole and English for a broad age group. We are grateful to GO Campaign for funding this project.
Through a generous grant from the GO organization, the community of Borgne has renovated a building for its first library.
This space will allow for the acquisition of books to share with the children of Borgne. The space will be a gathering place for children, teachers, and parents to explore the world around them and the broader environment. Children will learn the concept of a lending library, be able to check out books to read, and expand their world through reading.
H.O.P.E. is seeking partners to help develop the library's collections (2,000 books). If you're an individual, group, or organization interested in hosting a fundraiser to help us purchase books for the library, please contact email@example.com or review our Third-Party Fundraising Guide.
